Director – Workday Architecture and Automation

POSITION SUMMARY: Join our innovative IT team as a Director of Corporate Applications, where you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing enterprise-wide applications, including Workday ERP, iCIMS, Dynamics CRM, and other critical business platforms. This role requires a strategic mindset, deep technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to drive efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvements in our enterprise applications ecosystem. The Director and Principle Architech will define the corporate applications architecture strategy, oversee system integrations, and ensure compliance, security, and performance while fostering innovation and automation across multiple enterprise systems. Job Highlights ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to): Strategic Planning & System Architecture: + Develop the corporate applications architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals. + Provide technical leadership for Workday, Finance, Payroll, HR, and other enterprise applications. + Lead enterprise-wide application implementations and optimizations, ensuring scalability and performance. + Establish and enforce best practices in system development, security, and governance. Corporate Applications & Workday Enhancements: + Oversee Workday business process configurations and integrations with other systems. + Lead security model design, ensuring compliance with industry standards. + Manage system lifecycle, release planning, regression testing, and version upgrades for Workday and other corporate applications. + Develop automation strategies to enhance system functionality and minimize manual interventions. Integration & Data Management: + Define and maintain integration strategies for corporate applications, including Workday, Payroll, Finance, HR, and other enterprise systems. + Lead the development of APIs, EIBs, and middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Cloud Connect) solutions. + Ensure data integrity, governance, and seamless data flow across systems. Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership: + Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and Operations leaders to identify system requirements. + Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on corporate applications strategy and capabilities. + Mentor corporate applications teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence. Performance, Compliance & Risk Management: + Proactively monitor system performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements. + Ensure Workday and other enterprise applications comply with security policies, industry regulations, and corporate governance. + Lead system audits, risk assessments, and data privacy initiatives. Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): + Strong expertise in ERP Systems such as Workday and/or other Finance, Payroll, and HCM systems. + Expertise in Workday Studio, EIBs, PECI, Workday Extend, and BIRT reporting. + Expert in integrating Workday and other enterprise applications using MuleSoft, Boomi, or Workday Cloud Connect. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex business challenges while leading enterprise-wide initiatives effectively. + Possesses a strong understanding of Healthcare industry practices and systems, and/or Finance and/or Revenue Cycle Management processes and systems. + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organization. + Experience leading large-scale corporate application implementations in a HealthCare setting + In-depth knowledge of data governance, security models, and compliance frameworks. EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: + Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. (Or Relevant work experience) + Workday Certification in at least one core module (HCM, Payroll, Financials, Security, or Integrations) is highly preferred. + 15+ years of enterprise applications experience, with at least 7+ years of hands-on Workday architecture experience. + Additional Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF, AWS, Azure) certifications are a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: + Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. + Must possess sufficient eye-hand coordination/manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. + Required normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and evaluations. WORKING CONDITIONS (environment and safety): + Work performed in office and/or home office environment. + Involves frequent contact with professional staff and executive level stakeholders. + Work may be stressful at times. + Interaction with others is frequent and often disruptive.
