**38828BR** **Extended Job Title:** Director **Org Level 1:** Texas Tech Unv Hlth Sci Ctr El Paso **Position Description:** Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department managing four or more individuals by providing guidance when assigning projects and communicating the goals for each project; identify opportunities for developing employee skills and professional growth; successfully manage the workflow of more than 40 projects at one time; develop strategic communications plans for communicating the university’s mission, messaging to media outlets locally and nationally – including mission-specific pitches and stories to garner national media attention and potential private funders, and campaigns to increase awareness of the university’s impact locally and regionally. **Requisition ID:** 38828BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Leads and supervises editorial team to ensure a highly collaborative environment where productivity is maximized and specifics goals, budgets, priorities and quality standards are met. Works closely with Marketing and Creative Services Senior Director, Assistant Vice President for Marketing and Communications and Vice President for Institutional Advancement. + Develops strategic communications plans to increase awareness about TTUHSC El Paso, TTP El Paso and TTDOHC’s impact locally and regionally. + Creates mission-specific pitches and stories to garner attention from national media and potential private funders. + Oversees the content and production of the university’s alumni magazine. + Manages the editorial team’s assignments, priorities, goals for projects and workflow. + Manages the university social media content creator’s assignments, priorities, goals for assignments and workflow. + Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes + Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).
