As the Director of Global Conservation & Sustainability for the Learning Enterprise at ASU, you’ll set and drive initiatives that have impact worldwide. Your role will be to lead an enterprise-wide initiative team, develop key partnerships, and design programs that position ASU at the forefront of conservation and sustainability education. You'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact across sectors and advance real-world solutions. You will think both at scale and impact-driven deep work with partners. You represent ASU on the global stage. This role is for a results-driven leader looking to shape the future of conservation and sustainability education.

As the Director of Global Conservation & Sustainability, you will establish ASU as a global leader in conservation and sustainability. You'll forge transformative partnerships with leading international organizations, curate innovative educational content, and be at the forefront of advancing conservation education worldwide. Your impact will resonate globally, shaping the minds and actions of future conservation and sustainability leaders.

In the first 12 months you will: 

Forge transformative partnerships: Secure at least three high-impact collaborations with leading international conservation organizations, amplifying ASU's global influence in conservation education.Create cutting-edge learning experiences: Develop and launch a suite of innovative, conservation and sustainability-focused courses and credentials, blending flexible online modules with immersive in-person experiences.Champion ASU on the world stage: Represent ASU at major sustainability and conservation events, positioning the university as a thought leader and driving conversations in this critical space.
This role is based at ASU’s Tempe campus. 


Travel Requirement 
This position requires 25% to 50% domestic and international travel. Travel locations include, but are not limited to, the United States, South Africa, and other global opportunities as they emerge. Applicants must have a valid Passport and travel ID. 

Full-TimeASU conducts pre-employment screening for all positions which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications. Employment is contingent upon successful passing of the background check.OpenActivities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.May be required to perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
 

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND eight (8) years of related administrative experience, which includes five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, Twelve (12) years of related administrative experience, which includes five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

This is a grant funded position. Continuation is contingent on future grant funding.
