The Director serves as the practice director for providers, leads the clinical practices and demonstrates knowledge of physician/provider practice management. The Director may have 24-hour accountability. Plans, develops, and fosters a culture and practice environment to include excellence in patient care, safety and quality; excellence in evidence based professional practice; teamwork and ownership of clinical practice; and key performance indicator optimization. This also includes maintaining environments with appropriate facilities, supplies, and equipment for the safe, efficient and cost-effective provision of patient care. 2. Collaborates, plans and implements strategies to achieve excellence in care. Establishes goals for clinical care and quality/safety improvements. 3. Applies critical and systems thinking, role-modeling and mentoring skills to create a culture of appreciative inquiry, readiness to learn, and active participation in evidence based practice activities. 4. Ensures the appropriate skill and competency mix are consistently available in staffing. 5. Develops and maintains strategies for recruitment and retention of staff and supports staff in achievement of ongoing professional career goals. 6. Responsible for the development and management of the operating and capital budgets. 7. Responsible for program development. Leads planning initiatives for service line targets relating immediate, annual and long-term strategic objectives. 8. Conducts an ongoing financial assessment of the services. 9. Assesses the market and works with others in designing market tools to engage potential customers to the system. Designs program which supports ease of access into the system for long-distance customers. Responsive to change to expedit decision-making by assessing vulnerable areas and adjusting rapidly to changes in submarkets. 10. Facilitates development of key clinical and performance indicators and monitors outcomes. Implements changes based on quality measures, occurrence data, risk assessment, and feedback. 11. Performs other duties as assigned.
