Responsibilities Reporting to the VP of Growth and Ancillary Services, the Director of Ancillary Services is responsible for centralizing and optimizing the organization's ancillary services function. This includes overseeing strategic planning, operational efficiency, and scalability of ancillary service lines to align with organizational goals. The Director will lead the development of robust capabilities in service line optimization, operational workflows, and data-driven decision-making to ensure ancillary services deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care while contributing to the organization's overall financial performance. This role involves significant collaboration with internal stakeholders, cross-functional departments, local market leadership, and external regional partners to drive excellence in ancillary service delivery and expansion opportunities. Responsibility Description: This role will have both short-term (immediate) responsibilities as well as longer-term goals (1-2 years) as a successful candidate builds the functional area. Immediate Responsibilities: + Ancillary Service Line Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize current ancillary services, including imaging, laboratory, physical therapy, remote patient monitoring, and infusion therapy, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with market needs. + Data Analytics Platform: Collaborate with internal teams to build a robust analytics platform that tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) such as utilization rates, patient outcomes, profitability, and operational metrics to drive informed decision-making. + Operational Playbook: Develop an ancillary services playbook that outlines repeatable processes, foundational tools, and best practices for launching, managing, and scaling ancillary services across multiple locations. Key Activities: + Identify and evaluate opportunities for expanding ancillary service lines in alignment with organizational goals. + Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and referral sources to drive growth and optimize service delivery. + Develop, monitor, and measure success metrics for ancillary service performance and expansion initiatives. + Partner with marketing, business development, and operational teams to effectively promote ancillary services. + Leverage existing enterprise resources to enhance ancillary service capabilities. + Prioritize, plan, and track project progress to meet strategic goals and deadlines. + Consult with and present findings to partnerships and leadership regarding ancillary services strategy and performance. + Use data analytics to uncover critical insights and guide decision-making for service line management. Qualifications + Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field. + A minimum of ten years of relevant healthcare experience, with specific expertise in ancillary service line management. + Experience with large multi-site medical groups is required. + Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics and the ability to translate insights into strategies. + Comprehensive understanding of vendor management related to ancillary services. + Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional departments (managed care, operations, development, MSO partnerships, physician partners, etc.). + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with physicians and clinical staff. + Self-motivated with the ability to achieve individual and team goals while working independently and collaboratively. + Ability to function as a high-level executive and manage detailed operational tasks in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. + Willingness to travel as needed to support the organization and partnerships (estimated 25% - 50%).
