This position will be located in either **Germantown, MD or Lisle, IL.** **Responsibilities:** + Lead a portfolio of highly complex programs for large aviation customers from concept to delivery. + Mentor and lead a team of program managers to execute development and certification projects. + Lead the overall relationship with airline customer executives and airframe manufacturers through the development and launch phase of the product lifecycle. + Create and deliver executive presentations and reports highlighting portfolio status, schedule and key risks. + Manage strong relationships with vendors, partners, and key stakeholders. + Work with the leadership team to identify and successfully execute key strategic initiatives within the aviation organization. + Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to establish best practices within the program organization. + Anticipate and proactively address programmatic, technical, and implementation issues that arise during project development. + Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost control and resource allocation. **Basic Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration, or a related field. + 10+ years of relevant work experience. + Prior experience of FAA/EASA STC processes. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration, or a related field. + Strong knowledge of all phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance and support. + Prior experience with linefit and retrofit programs in the in-flight connectivity industry. + Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders at all levels of leadership to establish concurrence. + Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in project management software and tools. Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance. The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies.
