Position Overview:  

 

This role will provide financial leadership for all the Commercial brands globally. The individual in this role will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Brand Finance for the relevant brands.  He/she will oversee the business strategy and growth agenda and be responsible for developing and implementing functional capabilities to support the planning, forecasting and analysis of the global business.  Additionally, he/she will work closely with the US cross-functional teams by providing financial insight and direction to maximize financial performance and plan attainment.

 

The successful candidate will be an established Finance leader with a proven track record of providing business decision support through the delivery of timely and meaningful insights and analysis. The successful candidate must have strategic capabilities as well as be hands-on and comfortable with tactical execution.

 

Responsibilities:

Support Segment CFO in the overall financial management of the Business Unit Oversee the full income statement and some aspects of balance sheet forecasting/budgeting process; product and customer profitability analysis; new product development financial modeling; investment evaluation and allocation; pricing and promotional strategy; manufacturing/sourcing NPD strategy; NPD capital budgeting and support cash flow activities.  Consolidate and review monthly results for all Global Brands and provide analysis and commentary on differences between plan, forecast, prior year, or any other period as necessary. Present on a recurring basis the current forecast, financial performance, financial position and other key financial metrics to leadership. Support the management of customer planning process and related tools to ensure successful planning for near- and long-term activities across the key customers and channels. Drive product category, customer, and product profitability management. Ensure comprehensive new product development financial integration and support to drive greater return on investment and support throughout the project lifecycle. Optimize the corporation’s trade and marketing spend (rebates, cooperative advertising, cash discounts, advertising, displays and related promotional investments) through strategic and analytical evaluation of current programs, identification of improvements and efficiencies and execution of activities to improve return on marketing investment. Works within the team and across the organization to manage cash flow, inventory levels and SKU tracking toward agreed upon targets by brand. Partner cross functionally to identify and implement working capital improvement initiatives. Ensure appropriate linkage between sales, marketing, research & development and supply chain finance and non-finance functions. Provide strong leadership and communication to the business and alignment with international teams. Provide career development and coaching/mentoring to the respective finance team. Be responsible for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of all finance-related data and analysis. Attract, retain, and develop world-class talent. 

Key Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in finance or related field; preferably in the Consumer Products industry and Brand Management. Undergraduate degree in Finance, Engineering or Economics preferred, MBA a plus. 5+ years in a supervisory or management role Experience across financial disciplines (FP&A, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Shared Services) preferred. Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to present complex financial information in simple terms. Proven maturity level/presence with senior executives, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and handling confidential information. Demonstrated ability to foster and develop strong finance teams that collaborate with cross functional business teams to drive growth and profitability. Ability to assess risks and opportunities within complex business situations. Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines; demonstrated ability to recommend and make decisions quickly under any situation.
