This position is responsible for leading business development and customer relationship management throughout the Company, driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships with existing and future clients. In addition, this leader will ensure that TelCom’s commitment to its customers is consistently demonstrated through the nurturing of positive relationships with existing clients and a strong focus on client retention. Actively explores potential new lines of business and growth opportunities, always demonstrating a full commitment to industry-leading customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Develops and executes business development strategies to meet or exceed revenue, contribution margin, and cash flow goals in alignment with strategic objectives. Collaborates with operations leadership across the organization to optimize lead generation, drive revenue growth and expand TelCom’s footprint in various markets. Creates and implements sales strategies for customer acquisition and conversion. Ensures that questions and concerns from current and potential customers are addressed expediently. Maintains proactive communication with customers, both current and potential, to ensure they are knowledgeable of TelCom’s services and its ability to meet their needs, highlighting TelCom’s strong commitment to safety and quality. Represents TelCom at various trade shows and other customer or industry events. Recommends and maintains TelCom’s industry-related memberships. Plans and organizes TelCom sponsored customer events that strengthen the Company’s brand and creates new business opportunities. Develops, maintains and implements promotional and customer appreciation materials/programs. Maintains knowledge of existing, new and potential new opportunities throughout the industry. Prepares lists of prospects from leads, and calls on prospective customers. Gathers and maintains actionable business intelligence related to internal and industry contracts, including upcoming projects, grants / funding, work awarded to competitors, engineering firms being utilized, material availability and sources, etc). Remains involved in the life cycle of the customer from introduction to the bidding process and follow-up of contract awards. Communicates with the Executive Team and other TelCom members with findings and recommendations of follow up needed. Other duties as assigned Qualifications, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in a Business Marketing or related field and 10 or more years of telecommunications industry customer experience-related position, or combination of education and experience is required. MBA or equivalent degree is preferred. Reputable telecommunications industry persona. In-depth industry knowledge - field experience a plus. Substantial experience preparing and giving presentations to various sized groups or individually while representing the organization in a positive way. Proven ability to effectively work with individuals at all levels of an organization, both internally and externally. Proficient word processing, spreadsheet, database, Internet and cloud-based computer skills are required. Working knowledge of Google suite of applications strongly preferred. Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight and/or guidance.
