Director - Business Development & Capture Management
**Job Description** BAE Systems is hiring a Director Business Development and Capture Management to support our Platforms and Services (P&S) Sector. This Strategic Capture role will serve as the Capture Team Leader (CTL) that is responsible for Capture Management of strategic programs to include winning executable business, leading the pursuit from opportunity identification through transition to contract execution, and keeping the senior leadership team abreast of status at all times. + This position location is negotiable, ideally this position will be located near a US P&S site as it will require regular travel to P&S sites for direct engagement with product lines and capture teams. + Travel will be 25% - 50% based on business location and lifecycle of captures. Responsibilities: + Designs and directs the capture strategy and positions our team to win. + Focuses on the big picture solutions and remains prospect focused. + Applies knowledge of proposal development, guides the solution, and remains knowledgeable on price to win strategies as well as customers, competitors, products, services, and people in the munitions industrial base and/or armored maneuver and artillery platforms. + Leads the business case analysis, develops and implements the capture plan, and executes the win strategy by leading a matrixed cross functional team. + Manages and communicates with stakeholders as part of a campaign like environment. + Ultimately responsible for winning the opportunity and managing the pursuit through contract award. + Understands and applies principles of life cycle management, phase reviews, color reviews, competitor intelligence analysis, and strategy development. + Oversees the execution of the capture plan and alignment with program plans. + Understands the defense acquisitions system and aligns the campaign with program milestones. + Initiates proposal activities, presentations, and briefings. + Recommends and monitors Internal Research and Development (IR&D) keyed to customer requirements. + Manages and controls B&P budgets and expenses through sound budgetary techniques. + Provides recurring reports to include monthly summaries of activities and status of opportunities, as well as specific response to data calls for recurring management reviews (e.g., QBRs). + Develops and maintains strong customer relations such as, US Army s Joint Munitions Command (JMC) and PEO Ammunition and Armaments (PEO A&A). + Complies with all BAE Systems Policies. + Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies. + Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of work experience or equivalent experience + Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance + Experience in Business Development, Capture Management, or similar + Experience in Strategy/Proposal Development + Experience in Team Leadership and Cross-functional alignment + Experience in Defense (DoD) with knowledge of Defense Acquisitions System + Knowledge of customers, competitors, products, services, and people in the munitions industrial base and/or armored maneuver and artillery platforms + Knowledgeable of price to win strategies + Ability to support strategic planning, competitor intelligence analysis, solution development, and lifecycle management + Ability to focus on the big picture and remain prospect focused + Ability to think strategically + Ability to negotiate effectively with customers, industry partners, and teammates + Ability to interface with senior levels of government and internal executives + Strong collaboration and team building skills + Strong communication and presentation skills **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Security Clearance + Master s Degree + Experience in US Army s Joint Munitions Command (JMC) + Experience in PEO Ammunition and Armaments (PEO A&A) + Advanced analytics and reporting skills **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $169630 - $288370 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
