Job Details

Reporting to the Vice President Sales and Services, this role will be responsible to deliver profitable growth by leading the service development cycle and will be responsible to deliver Commercial Supply Chain (CSC) revenue and volume sustained growth.

This will include:

Achieving annual global CSC revenue targets by delivering on key initiativesEvolving World Courier’s value proposition, positioned as the industry’s partner of choice for specialty commercial logisticsAnticipating Commercial Supply Chain customer needs and work across functions and countries – and with other Cencora business units – to develop solutions which respond to their requirements.Developing and distributing product knowledge; initiating and maintaining know-how exchange among cross-divisional teams and improving business processes to ensure commercial success of the CSC product

You will work closely with regional Sales and Marketing to drive the commercial success of the service; and with Operations, Customer Service, Quality Assurance and Country/ Regional leadership to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations for service delivery at the time we have the right operational model to drive competitiveness.

Primary responsibilities

Drive profitable revenue and volume growth and contribute to long-range sustained growth by leading commercial supply chain service lineLead CSC Product Managers (and similar roles) in the development and winning of new CSC opportunities in tight collaboration with Sales and MarketingPartner with the sales team to shape World Courier’s response to CSC bids, in coordination with the Sales Tools and Enablement team when appropriateManage the pipeline of CSC opportunities, and work with local and global sales teams to ensure that client interactions convey World Courier’s capabilities and commitmentEnsure know-how transfer and appropriate training within the regionAct as point of contact for internal stakeholder (e.g., sales executives, management) and external customers when it comes to ship commercial products and consulting is needed within the sales cycle upon requestAnalysis and evaluation of the market potential by market observation, research/surveys, consumer interviews and conference participation, keeping in mind the long-term vision while driving short-term resultsLead the collaboration with Cencora business units to maximize synergistic results, shaping World Courier CSC long term strategy accordinglyBuild up and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, seminars and exhibitions; reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesBuild productive business relationships with key opinion leaders and influential customers across the globe while maintaining a network of CSC decision makers and representing World Courier to clients and prospects.Thought leadership representing World Courier at commercial logistics conferences and in the industry media.Be aware of competitive offerings and regularly refresh the perspective of World Courier’s differentiators in the market.Maintain regular reporting on service KPIs, including commercial, financial and operational performance.Promote the CSC service – and its operational requirements – within World Courier.Work with operations and customer service to drive adherences to these processes across the business.Work with Quality Assurance to understand the cause of service deviations and maintain processes and work instructions to incorporate lessons learnt.Act as a regional point of contact for CSC suppliers and partners; maintain good relationships with these external parties to drive value from the interactions for World Courier and our clients.Partner with Functions and Regions to identify new services or features’ needs in the market, noting a strong collaboration with Strategy on market trendsWith the VP Sales and Services, develop partnerships as required to enhance the service line value proposition, building, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and partners to drive value from the interactions for World Courier and our customersEnsure CSC is in compliance with sustainable development goals by design, measuring success from a triple bottom line perspectivePromote development of the team, including professional development, succession planning and training

Your Profile

An effective leader with at least six years of directly related and responsible experienceUnderstanding logistics, clinical trial and 3PL operations and associate finances, preferably in the healthcare sectorExperience in managing airfreightBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Logistics, Healthcare or Business Administration.Strategic thinking skills: able to generate ideas and opportunities and turn them into successful results.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to changes in the marketplaceExcellent presentation skills and strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong financial acumen with the ability to interpret financial data and develop successful strategies to deal with financial issues that are identifiedAbility to perform financial planning and budget preparation tasks, as needed.Experience in building personal collaborations, networks and teams inside and outside of the organization and the ability to represent the company in a variety of internal and external settingsExperience working in a matrix organization subject to frequent change and with regional and country management where influencing skills are key.Ability to support activities of others, including coaching, training, guiding, developing, and managingExcellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data management skillsStrong customer-service orientation

Desirable:

Master’s degree in Business or equivalentExperience working with in pharmaceutical supply chainExperience with appropriate pharmaceutical B2B sales channelsExperience on sustainable and green finance
