About the Role
Gartner Consulting is looking for a Director to lead global engagements and help grow our Market & Growth Strategy capabilities. The Director will perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex market data sets, primary research and competitive landscapes. The Director will work closely with on-shore/off-shore associates to develop training, IP, and assets.
What you’ll do
Our Consulting Directors are responsible for high-level project delivery and oversight along with client relationship management. You will manage teams and advise clients at the highest strategic level on both big-picture and tactical matters, focusing on how technology enables a wide range of business outcomes. In addition, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our asset-based methodologies.
What you’ll need
Project Delivery and Oversight:
Lead and oversee teams in the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and are completed on time and within budget
Provide strategic direction and oversight to project teams, ensuring alignment with client goals and organizational standards
Team Management and Development:
Manage and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Support professional development of team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
Collaboration and Development:
Lead and contribute to ongoing development and refinement of asset-based services and capabilities
Work closely with on- / off-shore teams to develop training programs, IP, and assets to enhance frameworks, methodologies, capabilities
Lead teams in the development of large scale, complex quantitative market forecasts
Analyze market and technology and competitive landscapes to inform forecast development
Lead teams in designing, developing, and optimizing complex data workflows using Alteryx to ensure efficient scalable, and transparent workflows
Standardize and automate QA / QC approaches and ensure they used across project teams
Incorporate new AI / advanced analytic techniques to streamline forecast development / QA
Lead teams in the analysis of Primary Research
Guide teams on the analytic techniques to derive deep insights from Primary Research data
Build team SPSS (or other analytical) capabilities and deploy standard catalog of primary research analysis
Lead and build associate and practice price testing techniques and capabilities
Guide teams in the selection, deployment, and analysis of price testing techniques and recommendation of optimal product and services pricing strategies
Standardize catalog of pricing techniques and ensure team is trained and skilled in executing and analyzing using the appropriate analytic tools
Lead and build associate and practice quantitative analysis and financial modelling capabilities
Use advanced statistical and analytical methods to interpret large and complex data sets, to include predictive modeling, clustering, and other techniques to identify patterns and trends
Develop teams’ ability to use data services, analytic tools and software
Guide teams in the design, development, and analysis of complex financial models to include sourcing, blending, and analysis of financial data; assumption development; scenario and sensitivity analysis
Own development, enhancement, and maintenance of the market forecasting database (DB)
Ensure accuracy and reliability of the data and effective functioning of the DB
Extend current dimension granularity (e.g., add countries, add industries) and add new dimensions (e.g., delivery model) and capabilities (e.g., data conversions, data visualizations)
Develop and maintain DB documentation and provide ongoing training and support to DB users
Apply AI and other advanced techniques to streamline processes and QA
Expertise with / Knowledgeable on:
10+ Years of relevant experience in the above-mentioned fields
Tools: Commercial/open-source data discovery/analysis platforms (e.g., Excel Analysis ToolPak, Python, R, Alteryx, Databricks)
Data Services: Use of 3rd party services to source macro-economic, market and firmographic to support project-related analyses (e.g., IHS Global Insights, S&P CapIQ, PitchBook, AlphaSense, D&B Hoovers, Privco)
Primary Research: Use of 3rd party providers to source respondents and host and manage survey execution
