Director Corporate Analytics Infrastructure - McLaren Careers
**Position Summary:** This position is responsible for the leadership, strategy, direction and operations of McLaren Analytics Infrastructure activities. Provide direction and oversight of the infrastructure platform that runs the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), analytics and reporting to support clinical, operational, financial and quality reporting, and other analytics as the need arises. This role includes coordinating activities with business intelligence, operations, revenue cycle and clinical leadership. Communicating progress to all levels of McLaren, as well as ensuring development and use of the McLaren data assets. The Director of Analytics Infrastructure has primary responsibility for managing the daily operations of the EDW in conjunction with Premier’s EDW team. He/she in conjunction with BI and operational leadership will set the strategy and vision and be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the EDW. He/she will be responsible for all strategic, tactical, operational, financial, human, and technical resource managerial responsibilities associated with EDW support services: a. Data Preparation b. Data Warehousing & Governance c. Data infrastructure d. Reporting, analytics, data exploration e. Advanced / Predictive Analytics This position will also contribute or lead efforts for Enterprise / Corporate Performance Measurement. The Director of Analytics Infrastructure will lead by establishing and executing a vision for the delivery of information and analytics solutions to the business’s key stakeholders. This position will be ultimately responsible for helping transform the company into a business that truly differentiates and competes on information and analytics. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities** **:** 1. Leads the BI infrastructure function in supporting the extraction, aggregation and quality assurance of data from multiple sources in support operational reporting and quantitative analyses of quality, utilization and other data / analytic needs. 2. Work with Premier EDW team to ensure that the ETL process functions efficiently on a day to day basis. 3. Direct the development and execution of analytical and/or research activities to provide senior leadership with information and tools for strategic decision making and planning, health care utilization and costs, reimbursement projects and issues, population health and clinical outcomes, provider patterns and variations, trends and forecasting, data and informatics needs, emerging technologies. 4. Define, develop and manage data governance for McLaren in conjunction with the BI department. 5. Ability to establish scope of projects, create and manage project timelines and meet deadlines. **Qualifications:** **_Required:_** + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Public Health Administration or related field. Master’s degree desired but not required. + Five years’ experience within a healthcare setting including the application of statistical methods to the analysis of healthcare data. + Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. **_Preferred:_** + Master’s degree in business, health informatics technology, biostatistics or related field. + Ten to fifteen years of healthcare experience with data mining, including forecasting, simulation and predictive modeling. + Experience with BI platforms and analytic tools. + Demonstrated ability to build, modify and query off of relational databases (such as MS Access and SQL).
