Director - Digital Communications

The Division of Philanthropic Alumni Engagement (PAE) at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and stakeholders, supporting the University's mission in education, research, and healthcare. We invite you to become a pivotal part of our team as the Director – Digital Communications.

In this role, you will serve as the integral part within PAE's Office of the Vice Chancellors department, reporting to the Vice Chancellor, Communications.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead the strategy, execution, and implementation of digital communications tools and properties for PAE, including websites, email marketing, and digital engagement platforms.Collaborate with communications and donor relations colleagues and clients to ensure an integrated and strategic approach to all aspects of PAE’s digital presence.Track the impact of PAE’s digital presence and identify areas for improvement based on industry standards; establish digital engagement metrics; use web, event, email, and community data tracking systems to compile online engagement reports; monitor activity/success throughout the online presence.Support Philanthropic Alumni Engagement digital communications by working directly with department partners to identify and fulfill project needs; designing and drafting targeted e-marketing initiatives; designing and implementing web-based event registration forms.

Primary Computer Software Skills:

Microsoft OfficeHTMLSalesforce or comparable CRMExperience with multiple CMS, with Drupal preferredEmail marketing platforms, with Marketing Cloud preferredAdobe Creative SuiteProven experience engaging and growing user interest via digital channelsStrong track record of managing web properties, both external and internalExpertise in web optimization, web analytics, digital marketing/communications, web design, and creating multi-channel user journeys to acquire, activate, and retain users
