Employee Type: Regular Work Shift: Day - 8 hour shift (United States of America) **Join Team Tidelands and help people live better lives through better health!** **Position Summary** **:** The **Director of EHR (Electronic Health Record) Strategy and Delivery** is a senior leadership role that combines the responsibilities of overseeing both the strategic management and delivery of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and the development and implementation of clinical strategies. This role is critical in ensuring that the organization's clinical operations are supported by robust, integrated EHR systems, leading to improved patient care, enhanced clinical workflows, operational efficiency, managing large-scale IT projects, and ensuring that all solutions align with the company’s vision and objectives. This role involves a mix of strategic planning, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders, including IT, clinical staff, and executive leadership, to ensure that the EHR systems meet the organization's goals and regulatory requirements. The Director will lead a team of IT professionals and work closely with stakeholders across various departments to ensure successful delivery and adoption of clinical solutions. The Director of Enterprise Business Solutions and Delivery job responsibilities will include the following: **Strategic Planning & Leadership:** Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for EHR systems, aligning with the organization's broader goals and regulatory requirements. Ensure that the EHR system supports and enhances clinical workflows, patient care, and data-driven decision-making. Evaluate emerging trends in healthcare technology and integrate innovative solutions to improve EHR systems. Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for enterprise business solutions in alignment with organizational objectives. Drive the continuous improvement of business processes through the effective use of technology. Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to achieve business goals. **Clinical Program and EHR System Development:** Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and ensure they are effectively integrated with the EHR system. Lead efforts to optimize the EHR system to support clinical strategies, including customization, data analytics, and reporting tools. **Leadership and Collaboration:** Lead cross-functional teams comprising clinical, IT, and administrative professionals to ensure the successful delivery of EHR and clinical initiatives. Foster collaboration between clinical staff, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure that EHR and clinical strategies are aligned and effectively implemented. Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to understand their needs and ensure the EHR system supports efficient workflows. Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals and project managers responsible for EHR delivery. **Quality and Compliance:** Ensure that the EHR systems comply with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvements to enhance usability, data security, and patient care outcomes. Monitor and improve the quality of clinical services through the effective use of EHR data and performance metrics. **Operational Efficiency:** Optimize clinical workflows and processes through the effective use of EHR technology, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing patient care. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in both clinical operations and EHR management. **Stakeholder Management and Communication:** Act as a liaison between IT, clinical teams, and executive leadership, facilitating communication and decision-making. Provide regular updates to the executive team on the status of EHR initiatives, including potential risks and opportunities. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet business needs. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders. Intimately tied to clinical need and workflows to proactively guide the technology future of the business units. **Innovation and Continuous Improvement:** Promote innovation in both clinical care and EHR systems, exploring new technologies and methodologies that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Continuously evaluate and refine clinical and EHR strategies based on performance data, feedback, and emerging healthcare trends. **Project Management and Delivery:** Oversee the delivery of large-scale IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Manage the portfolio of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, and other critical business systems. Ensure proper project governance, risk management, and quality assurance practices are in place. **Team Leadership and Development:** Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including project managers, business analysts, and developers. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning within the team. Develop talent strategies to attract, retain, and grow high-performing team members. **Vendor Management:** Develop and implement vendor management strategies that optimize the value of external partnerships. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors, negotiating contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing. Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and alignment with company objectives. Manage vendor risk, ensuring that all third-party solutions meet the company’s security, compliance, and quality standards. Collaborate with vendors to drive innovation and identify opportunities for leveraging new technologies. **Applications Management:** Oversee the lifecycle management of enterprise clinical applications. Ensure that all applications are designed, developed, and maintained according to best practices and meet the evolving needs of the business. Lead the integration of new applications into the existing technology ecosystem, ensuring seamless interoperability. Monitor the performance of applications to ensure optimal functionality, security, and user satisfaction. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application performance, usability, and scalability. **Technology Governance and Compliance:** Ensure that all clinical solutions comply with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, company policies and IT standards. Monitor emerging technologies and trends to assess their potential impact on the organization. Monitor and manage risks associated with applications and vendor relationships, implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Establish and enforce governance frameworks for application development, deployment, vendor management, technology adoption and use across the organization **Budget and Resource Management:** Manage the budget for EHR and clinical initiatives, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that projects are delivered within budget.
