**Overview** St. Lukes Health–The Vintage Hospital provides high-quality compassionate care for residents of the Willowbrook Champions and Tomball areas of Northwest Houston. With the resources of the St. Luke’s Health system we are able to deliver the most advanced care available to our Northwest Houston community. The Vintage Hospital offers the latest in diagnostic and surgical expertise including heart care women’s health and orthopedics. Has accountability for the Emergency Department. Accountable for all Evening, Night and Weekend Nursing Supervisors. Provide leadership and communication to the staff and physicians working within the area. Assure practice adheres to regulatory requirements. Departmental practices and processes consistently reflect high quality standards which support excellence in patient care and a safe environment for patients, employees, physicians, visitors and guests. Must assure quality standards are implemented and maintained, and processes are updated and revised as appropriate. Must manage a large fiscal budget. Must also lead the capital budget planning in their area and manage human resources efficiently. Monitor metrics to validate performance against national and system benchmarks and to ensure the delivery of competent clinical practice is consistently achieved. **St. Luke's-The Vintage is a Level IV Trauma designated hospital.** **Responsibilities** 1. Demonstrates positive leadership skills and communication which results in achievement of outcomes. 2. Articulates departmental goals and objectives allowing staff to actively participate in clinical decision-making. 3. Facilitates high quality work environment by addressing the needs of the department(s). 4. Ensures that appropriate equipment and supplies are available to provide effective and efficient nursing care. 5. Participates in quality programs (e.g. AMI, Stroke, CAP) and ensures implementation of identified action plans for continuous performance improvement. 6. Develops, reviews, and maintains fiscal budget within established targets. 7. Assures staffing patterns are flexed according to unit activity and patient acuity. 8. Analyzes budget variances and Implements appropriate action plans. 9. Develops and manages the annual capital budget, establishing equipment priorities based on patient needs and revenue potential. 10. Identifies and implements major hospital cost savings. 11. Facilitates professional growth and development of staff. 12. Demonstrates accountability for human and material resource management 13. Complies with HR policies and procedures. Ensures that job standards are understood by employees. 14. Ensures effective delivery of competent, compassionate nursing care. 15. Establishes strong, working relationship with physicians. Develops inter-professional processes and achieves efficiencies within department. 16. Engages staff to provide excellent customer service to patients. **Qualifications** Required Education: *Bachelor’s in Nursing and current RN license issued by state of Texas Required Licensure and Certification: Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Texas BLS-CPR (issued by AHA) ACLS (issued by AHA) - within 6 months PALS (issued by AHA) - within 6 months TNCC - within 6 months Required Experience: *Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the discipline and five (5) years leadership experience Required Minimum knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Also need to be able to develop polished audiovisual presentations and create spreadsheets.
