Summary
Responsible for the strategic development of relationships with Brokers, TPAs, and Employers in Indiana and Ohio to focus on growing Parkview direct to employer agreements including Parkview Signature Care self-insured offering for employers, Employer Clinics, Occupational Health, and other employer solutions. Responsibilities include: Defines and ensures sales targets are met/exceeded by ensuring the Sales teams operate efficiently and are focused on winning new business and retaining existing clients. Generates and converts leads into new direct to employer agreements. Partners with senior leadership and market presidents to develop and execute sales strategies. Partners with senior leadership and operations to identify new products/services and define pricing, target markets, and formal product designs. Partners with Operations to ensure successful implementation of converted sales. Ensures all procedures are followed accurately to ensure consistent and predictable implementation and management of solutions sold. Hires, grows, and retains sales teams that are effective in growing the market share of employer solutions. Maintains and develops key external partnerships with Brokers and TPAs to expand the reach of the sales department. Ensures accurate and transparent reporting of sales activity to Payor, Employer, Health Plan Strategy committee monthly. Responsible for achievement of year-over-year growth in sales goals for the organization, which is accomplished through a complex matrix of stakeholders including the internal sales teams and external business development team (approximately 200 brokers and more than a dozen TPAs). Demonstrates strong political savvy related to various businesses and industries as needed to prospect, nurture and retain strategic partnerships with agents, third party administrators and employers.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field. Master's in Business Administration, preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Must have a valid state driver's license and provide own transportation.
Experience
Must have a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare with at least 5 years of sales experience. Must have at least 5 years of direct management of professional staff. Experience in complex problem-solving activities and managing multiple challenging projects and related deadlines. Must have experience managing sales.
Other Qualifications
Must have excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills. Proven ability to lead and interact with constituencies in a direction that fulfills the mission and goals of Parkview Health. Demonstrated understanding of health insurance, health promotion, coaching, care coordination and other health related concepts.
