Director Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Finance to lead financial operations for our manufacturing division. This role is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate policies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial management within a manufacturing environment and a strong track record of driving operational efficiency and profitability.  This role will be based out of Denver CO or Dallas TX.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize costs and improve profitability. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to senior leadership. Lead and manage financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies. Partner with operations teams to enhance cost control measures and drive efficiency. Manage internal controls and risk assessment strategies to safeguard company assets. Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and innovation. Work closely with the operations and supply chain teams to manage inventory levels, optimize working capital, and reduce costs in the supply chain. Develop financial models to track inventory turnover, procurement costs, and production schedules to maintain efficient manufacturing processes Evaluate and implement financial management software and systems to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making. Leverage technology to automate financial processes, improve data accuracy, and streamline financial operations within the manufacturing environment. Report and work closely with the VP of Operations

 

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred). 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of financial modeling, cost accounting, and operational finance. Proficiency in ERP systems. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Strong understanding of compliance, tax regulations, and GAAP principles. Ability and willingness to travel domestically, as needed.
