Director of Supply Chain Finance is a strategic leader responsible for divisional forecasting, reporting, analysis, and operational performance improvement for the supply chain organization. This role will be a business partner to the Procurement VP/EVP, informing and advising leader of financial performance, projections, and analysis of their ownership scope, giving strategic guidance to ensure financial health of the organization.
The at Hertz will oversee all financial aspects of the supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring the financial efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain activities, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management. The Director will collaborate closely with supply chain leadership and other cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do:
FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS
Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the supply chain function Provide detailed analysis and insights to support decision-making Prepare and present regular financial reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics and variance analysis. Understand key business drivers and impact to prior year/actual results Ensure timely and accurate reportingCOST MANAGEMENT
Develop and implement cost control strategies to optimize supply chain expenses Monitor and analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actionsSTRATEGIC INITIATIVES
Support supply chain leadership in developing and executing strategic initiatives Provide financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential projects and investments Problem solving through challenges and ideation on special projectsSUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate negotiations with suppliers to ensure financial favorability of agreements Analyze supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savingsCOMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, inclusive of purchasing process Internal control policy, including compliance testingCONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Identify opportunities to improve revenue and/or reduce costs Operational finance trainingWhat We're Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus Minimum 5+ years of experience required Proven experience in supply chain finance or a related field, with a strong track record of driving financial performance. Heavy modelling with Excel and/or Hyperion Planning experience Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Working knowledge with Oracle BI, Hyperion Planning/HFM highly desirable Effective communication and interpersonal skills
