As adirector of financial reporting, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), you’ll maintain the financial integrity of the business’s external/Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) financial reporting. You’ll also establish the overall corporate accounting strategy and vision. You’ll provide expertise related to GAAP reporting and serve as a liaison to the Statutory, Reinsurance, and Investment Reporting groups, Legal, Tax, Business Unit control groups, and other areas of the business. You’ll lead a team of managers and accountants responsible for companywide general accounting and reporting and work collaboratively with other key financial reporting leaders.

Must-have qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field of study (e.g., Finance) and a minimum of 10 years specialized accounting (e.g., reinsurance, investments), financial reporting, or public accounting experience, with at least five years leadership experience (e.g., management)

Preferred skills

Ability to lead and establish strategic direction on accounting and reporting principleTechnical accounting and Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting knowledge of GAAPPrior experience with accounting, reporting, and integration for acquisitionsAbility to research and implement technical accounting pronouncementsCPA certification

Compensation

$125,700– $179,600/yearGainshare bonus up to 50% of your eligible earnings based on company performance Participation in our restricted stock units plan
