About the role
As a Director Accounting, you will be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of accounting for various areas within the financial statements. We will count on you to lead the global accounting function for operating expenses, fixed assets and lease accounting, global consolidation, and the India and Philippines controller functions. Along the way, you will get to:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including leadership, internal customers, and employees. Monitor the function’s performance and make strategic decisions to ensure long-term sustainability. Lead and manage teams to achieve the organization's goals and objectives. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Lead global general accounting and consolidation. Ensure timely global month and quarter end closing schedules. Oversee the analysis of operating expense fluctuations and collaborate with internal teams to address significant non-standard transactions. Cultivate a collaborative and supportive culture and facilitate seamless integration of the global accounting teams in multiple countries. Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements. Identify process improvements, document solutions, and drive execution of these improvements. What we’re looking for
Expertise in US GAAP accounting and general ledger close process. Significant experience with Sarbanes-Oxley 404. Skilled in navigating the complexities of global team dynamics. Knowledge of financial statement processes, policies, and procedures. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build, develop, and motivate teams, provide direction, and focus on strategy. Passion for process and system improvement, with prior experience in ERP and financial close systems (SAP and BPC skills are a plus). Professional demeanor with executive presence, ability to interact with internal and external contacts at all levels.
