Purpose
The Director of Global Maintenance and Regulatory Implementation for GBM Onboarding has dual responsibilities:
This role also manages the Global Refresh program, offshore vendors, and project initiatives involving internal and external stakeholders, maintaining regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Manage and oversee regulatory change projects impacting the onboarding process, ensuring deadlines and compliance goals are met. Maintain GBM’s client portfolio, ensuring updates align with AML/Fin Crime, Tax, Margin, and Regulatory Regimes (MIFID, EMIR, CANDER, CFTC, SBS). Ensure an optimal experience for clients and front office partners during onboarding and ongoing relationship management. Oversee the Global Refresh program and offshore vendors, managing project initiatives with internal and external stakeholders. Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank systems and knowledge. Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in day-to-day activities and decisions. Pursue efficient operations in line with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring effective business controls for operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
