Job Description
The Distribution Warehouse Global Lead is a dynamic thought leader with operational and strategic experience who will successfully lead the Olympus Global Distribution Warehouse Function. Will oversee Olympus internal and outsourced distribution warehouse operations accountable for operations performance and quality regulatory compliance. Responsible to build out the Global Distribution Warehouse function to create sustained economic value for the organization while driving best in class service delivery at appropriate cost levels though quality regulatory compliant processes. This is executed through relationship development with Regional SCM organizations, Business Divisions, and functions globally, fostering implementation of best practices, driving operational excellence through continuous improvement, and excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Job Duties Responsible to develop, implement, and lead Olympus`s Distribution Warehouse`s strategy, program, policies, and teams across Distribution Warehouse functional area globally and regionally. Drive distribution warehouse initiatives that enable speed, flexibility, and agility to deliver profitable top-line growth and gross margin percentage improvement. Manage partner supplier relationships, create, and establish criteria for Service Level Agreements, KPI and performance benchmarks. Monitor supplier performance and compliance using company policies and established evaluation criteria both qualitative and quantitative. Partner with Distribution Quality function globally and regionally to design, implement, monitor, sustain and improve compliance to applicable standards, ISO 13485, and regulations set by respective regulatory agencies, example US FDA, Australia TGA, Brazil ANVISA, etc. Establish and drive a culture of continuous improvement leveraging best practice tools and methodologies, to deliver year-over-year cost reductions and efficiency improvements. Implement data analytics and automation tools to optimize workflows and decision-making processes. Leverages and promotes strong relationships with partner senior management teams to secure preferential contract terms in regard to service levels, performance metrics, quality, and commercial elements. Leads all aspects of strategic Global Distribution Warehouse requirements and partners with Global Indirect Procurement on commercial terms and contracting processes aligned to the commercial business objectives and plan. Build scalable sourcing strategies and partnerships to meet the growth needs of the business while improving service level and financial performance. Structure Global Distribution Warehouse organization and set global governance policies and standards to meet business goals and customer needs. Provide leadership direction and coaching to develop a high-performance team with succession plans. Enable improved connectivity between plant operations, supply chain planning, logistics and distribution teams by establishing consistent processes and aligning on approach. Job QualificationsRequired:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in supply chain management, operations management, logistics, manufacturing, operational excellence or other relevant field of study and experience required. Advanced master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 – 15 years of progressive leadership experience, with proven track record in management, operations management, business process optimization, or process improvement, with measurable outcomes; with demonstrated focus and proficiency in change and stakeholder management. Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience leading a multi-entity/business supply chain or distribution function. Minimum 10 years people management experience required. International and domestic travel is required.Preferred:
Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred. Project management certifications preferred. Experience with working, communicating, and facilitating across multiple layers of organizational structure; demonstrating comfort with both front-line employees and Executive or C-Level stakeholders. Experience developing and implementing supply chain distribution programs, policies and procedures, and transforming an organization within a multi-national organization.
