THE JOB:

The Director of Human Resources supports the VP of HR in executing key HR initiatives and priorities. This role is responsible for achieving HR KPIs related to talent management, organizational effectiveness, compliance, communication, and employee engagement. The Director develops and implements strategies, action plans, and processes to enhance organizational performance.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Assists the VP of HR and MGM HR COE in developing and executing organizational strategies by identifying HR issues, conducting research, and providing analysis and recommendations aligned with business goals.

Provides input on department operations and strategies to ensure short- and long-term profitability and organizational success.

Forecasts budgets, manages expenditures, and optimizes technology and resources to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Analyzes key data trends, evaluates processes, and implements improvements to maintain competitiveness and meet evolving business needs.

Builds strong relationships with property leadership, corporate teams, external stakeholders, and community partners to facilitate strategy execution.

Leads HR efforts in community involvement and philanthropic initiatives to foster positive external relationships and social responsibility.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, partners with legal counsel, and keeps policies, procedures, and guidelines up-to-date.



THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 4+ years of prior relevant experience

Strong ability to inspire, guide, and manage HR teams across departments.

Proven experience supporting employees and executives.

Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate at all levels and influence stakeholders.

Skilled in resolving disputes and mediating challenges proactively.

Deep understanding of business operations and alignment of HR initiatives with goals.

Operational insight into industry practices to provide strategic HR support.

Superior judgment and analytical skills to manage complex issues and initiatives.

Strong organizational abilities to lead multiple programs and processes efficiently.

Experience developing and empowering HR teams to excel.
