This shift will be consistent with our AM team but will also require the flexibility to be on call as needed by the News Department. The Director coordinates the efforts of all technical operators during newscasts and other live and recorded productions. + Direct and/or technically direct newscasts + Coordinates technical control and production of programs + Ensures quality standards are met + Works with the news Producers to deliver a clean visually impactful news cast + May also perform the following duties: + Audio operations for daily newscasts + Live operations (tunes satellites, microwaves, and other live feeds from field) + Editing with Adobe Premiere editing software + Teleprompting for daily newscasts ​ Requirements & Skills: + High school diploma + Fluency in English + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written + Minimum two years’ experience in News operations and Production (market size considered) + Proficiency with computers and broadcast control equipment + Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and be able to multi-task + Ignite automation experience preferred Physical Demands & Work Environment:The Broadcast Director must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. In addition, the Broadcast Director must be able to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Repetitive movements are required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds over their head.
