Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' (NGMS) Manufacturing Integration and Systems (MI&S) organization is seeking a Director Information Technology 1 to lead the Manufacturing Digital Transformation (DT) Organization. The organization is looking for a strong leader to be the manufacturing focal point to coordinate and create a roadmap for manufacturing requirements, priorities, integration, and standardization across the pillar systems (PLM, ERP, MES, IT/OT) and DT Solutions. This position in inclusive of managing the Manufacturing points-of-contact into the following Sector teams: MPLM, ERP, Data Analytics, Visibility and Tools, and Factories of the Future.
The successful candidate will also need to establish and maintain strong relationships with the manufacturing business divisions, operations partners, and corporate DT partners to foster an in-depth understanding of business requirements and lead execution and investment plans. The ideal candidate has excellent technical depth and breadth, a well-defined vision for the future, and the drive to lead the Manufacturing organization through this transformation.
This position can be done full-time onsite or remotely with the ability to travel onsite monthly – based out of Linthicum, MD.
What You'll Get to Do:
Drive strategy and execution toward a digital ecosystem that enables the digital thread across sector manufacturing sites from end-to-end – collaboratively refresh and maintain applicable Sector and site roadmaps.Establish digital capability measures tied to real-world implementation and adoption.Develop a process to validate financial and success benefit (ROI) and coordinate investments across sites.Drive the prioritization, integration, budgeting, resource planning and governance of IT/OT work to support manufacturing objectives and key initiatives across the sector.Identify, standardize, and deploy data analytics that continuously improve the Manufacturing organization’s ability to quickly resolve issues and drive business performance.Standardize visibility and tools across the sector and coordinate best practices.Drive deployment and adoption of manufacturing digital fabric, factory connectivity, and data analytics solutions across the sector.Effectively communicate DT manufacturing ecosystem status and needs to executive management.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field of study and 10+ years' or a Master's Degree in IT, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field of study and 8+ years of relevant professional experience.Experience in project and/or program management managing cost and schedule, as well as performance and project integration of multiple programs.Experience leading high performing geographically dispersed cross functional teams across diverse technical and non-technical teams.Familiarity with supporting or leading digital transformation or IT projects.Results-oriented team player, with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/complex critical decisions, and business acumen.Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills, as well as program management, strategy, analytical, planning, and presentation skills are required.Demonstrated experience creating trusted relationships with internal and external partners and creating an inclusive work environment.US Citizenship.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience managing a portfolio of diverse and complex IT projects for Manufacturing and Operations.Active Secret clearance.Prior SAP user experience.ERP migration experience.Prior experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).Experience with and understanding of information, data and analytics commonly used in manufacturing environments.CAM, Earned Value, cost estimation and analysis experience.Salary Range: $179,600.00 - $282,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
