ABOUT THE JOB:

As the Director of Inside Sales at Willscot, you will lead and drive the strategic direction of the Inside Sales Team across the United States. Your primary focus will be on managing and optimizing the performance of our Inside Sales staff to achieve revenue and unit growth through effective leadership and strategic initiative planning.  This role requires a disciplined and strategic thinker with a proven track record in driving successful business growth and employee engagement.  

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team that includes Sales Managers, Sales Supervisors, Team Leads and Sales Representatives providing guidance, support, strategic direction to achieve company and divisional goals.   Build and maintain a robust positive culture in which employees thrive through recognition, feedback, accountability and development.  Continuously recruit, train and develop employees to prepare them for advancement into other areas of the business.  

Continuous Improvement:

Provide deep analysis of the drivers to the Inside Sales teams’ performance including selling trends, seasonality, geographical, product type and department level performance. Prepare and present to executive management performance trends, analysis and drivers. Ensure that our sales teams operate at maximum effectiveness by coordinating daily weekly activity management, tracking and real-time coaching plans.   Establish, communicate and track daily, weekly & monthly goals.

Innovation:

Identify new selling techniques, channels and strategies for the full suite of the Willscot product portfolio. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align to our business objectives and market needs.

Customer Satisfaction:

Advocate on behalf of customers by providing voice of customer feedback to drive improvements in product, system processes, selling motions and end to end selling process.  Partner closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement training programs that cover business verticals, product features/benefits, objection handling, and cross-selling techniques. Manage our CRM data and pipeline to ensure customer SLA targets are met.

Additional Responsibilities:

Conduct regular meetings with sales staff and Managers to review KPIs and overall performance. Partner closely with key regional partners and divisional leaders to execute the Inside Sales strategy and coverage plans. Uphold a commitment to always providing high-quality customer service. Offer guidance on discounting/pricing strategies, market trends, and product offerings. Travel to other sales centers periodically for face-to-face coaching sessions and meetings with managers and their teams. Attend area/corporate management meetings, sales conferences, and awards functions as required. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field; OR 7+ equivalent years of experience.  Proven track record of successful sales leadership, revenue growth, and performance management.  Must have 7+ years of progressive leadership experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with direct reporting lines and internal stakeholders. Experience in a relevant Industry is preferred (e.g., equipment rentals, commercial real estate, facility & asset). Strong understanding of sales technologies, CRM systems. Previous experience integrating processes/technology/people due to mergers and acquisitions preferred. Proficiency in the following tools: Salesforce, Tableau, MS 365 and various other sales & performance management tools.
