Position Summary
Accountable for the coordination, direction, organization and evaluation of patient care, human resources and unit management on a 24-hour basis for a 30 bed Telemetry –Special Care Unit. This position will be responsible for managing the daily operations and staff of a Telemetry unit. Duties include: ensuring coordination of care, improving patient care processes and outcomes, providing leadership for professional nursing practice, selecting and maintaining competent staff, operating in a cost-effective manner. This individual maintains the standards of JCAHO, DOH, OSHA, EMTALA and specialty recommendations. This position is responsible for leading approximately 70 employees.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
â— Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master's prepared. If not mastered prepared must be enrolled upon hire and complete within 5 years.
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
Five years clinical experience
Preferred:
Three years experience in patient care management, administration, or relevant experience
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
â— Current RN License
â— CPR certification must be current, or obtained within six months of hire. ANCC or AONE Nurse Executive certification, if not completed upon hire must complete within 1 year of eligibility.
