Director Lean Operations

As a Director, Lean Operations here at Honeywell, you will strategize and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations at our designated site. You will oversee, guide, and track procurement, production, logistics, and distribution processes to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence. You will collaborate with cross-functional leadership, implement strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. You will report directly to our VP of Manufacturing Excellence and have the opportunity to work from any U.S. Honeywell Hub. This role will have approximately 50% global travel required.
In this role, you will impact the success of our business by optimizing productivity, ensuring quality, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Your strong leadership skills and ability to manage a high-performing team will create a positive work environment and foster employee engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Oversee and track procurement, production, inventory management, and distribution processes.
+ Create and ensure execution of strategies for optimizing the entire supply chain.
+ Forecast demand, analyze market trends, and make data-driven recommendations for planning.
+ Oversee the management of supplier relationships, contract negotiation, and timely and cost-effective procurement.
+ Oversee the streamlining of processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
+ Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Work closely with production, logistics, finance, and other department leadership to ensure alignment.
+ Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the integrated supply chain.
+ Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and improvement opportunities.

YOU MUST HAVE:
+ 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on integration and optimization.
+ Lean Manufacturing Training and experience.
+ Experience providing guidance and coaching to direct reports and organizations.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and other relevant software.
+ Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies in supply chain management.
WE VALUE:
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ Master’s Degree.
+ Black Belt or Lean Expert Certification
+ Significant experience leading Kaizen events.
+ Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
+ Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving results.
+ Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Strong problem-solving, project management and decision-making skills.
+ Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for driving change.
