Director Marketing, Vaccines

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the definition, design, execution, and measurement of brand strategy across both HCP and Consumer segments. This role requires working across all customer segments and partnering effectively with Brand and Portfolio peers/teams, Sales, Commercial Operations, and Managed Markets teams. The Director will work closely with the Brand Insight Director on planning all insight work, including primary and secondary research, database management, and ROI measurements. This position will align a diverse team around a clear vision and purpose while leading, inspiring, developing, and motivating the team to achieve individual and organizational objectives successfully.

Accountabilities:

Develop go-to-market plan for new indication and ensure strategically aligned initiatives to drive the brand imperativesLead the development and execution of coordinated channel marketing and media plansPartner with Business Insights and Market Research Team to develop and implement key insight plan, define success metrics, and analyze performance on an ongoing basis with a keen eye to optimizationPartner with sales team to drive growth of in-line businessDevelop, implement, and monitor launch critical metricsLead multiple program budgets, timelines, processes, and proceduresLead partner agency relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets

Essential Skills/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in business, marketing or the sciences8 years of Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience; preferably in brand marketing, market access, market research/analytics or strategic planning4 years of US Pharmaceutical Marketing and Promotions experienceSuccessful delivery of strategic and operational plans within a therapeutic or business areaProven experience in working within cross-functional business units essentialStrong financial foresight with the ability to assess and get resultsStrong presentation and negotiation skillsAbility to optimally lead through ambiguitySuccessful experience leading change transformationProven learning agility

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Advanced Degree in business, marketing, or the sciencesExperience in both Consumer Marketing & HCP MarketingExperience in Insight/Market ResearchExperience across product life cycle (emerging, launch, in-line, mature)Experience related to therapeutic area (vaccines / infectious diseases)Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal and Digital, Patient marketing)Pharmacy (retail) marketing experienceDevelopment of digital customer experiences and/or e-commerce
