Director Marketing Strategy

PRIMARY PURPOSE:  Serves as a strategic business partner to Sedgwick business unit leadership to develop tailored marketing strategies to support growth. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Partners with business unit Presidents and company leaders in operations, sales, and client services to develop marketing strategies to support growth.Collaborates with marketing centers of excellence to deploy marketing tactics in support of strategies.Provides stakeholder updates to business unit leadership; shares results and optimizes plans based on learnings.Works with fellow Brand Strategists to develop and design best practices and best-in-class marketing approaches.Teams up with marketing center of excellence (PR, Digital/Social, Content, Conference) leads to ensure strong working knowledge of key marketing tactics.Follows existing brand guidelines and develops additional content guidelines to ensure consistency and brand voice across all channels.Manages execution against the overall content calendar and customer/client programs.Partners with the creative team to provide direction, ideate concepts, and bring campaigns to life.Collaborates with internal teams, including creative, marketing, and product teams, to ensure consistent brand messaging and user experience.Monitors and reports on digital content performance metrics and makes data-driven recommendations to optimize assets and improve user engagement.Leverages market trends to identify opportunities for new content and campaign development.Conducts research and analysis on industry and competitor trends to ensure our brand is showing up best-in-class.Translates existing customer insights into relevant marketing program implications.Conducts research, analyzing findings, making recommendations, ideating collaboratively with creative and overseeing projects through to completion.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other duties as assigned.Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Experience as an account manager, planner or strategist at an ad agency or senior brand manager preferred.
