Position Overview:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCommunicates utilizing written or oral presentations to address nursing or organization issues appropriate to the target audience.Manages effectively and resolves conflicts that impede working relationships and progress toward defined goals. Formulates objectives, goals, and specific strategies that support the organization mission and vision. Engages and supports a Just Culture environment.Collaborates with physicians and other key stakeholders to develop patient care protocols, policies and procedures.Engages staff and others in decision making that promotes an environment that is conducive to opinion sharing.Understands, articulates and ensures compliance with state Nurse Practice Act, State Board of Nursing regulations, Leapfrog, ISO 9001, and DNV. Articulates and takes action to support National Patient Safety Goals and other standards of practice as applicable. Designs safe clinical systems, processes, policies and procedures.Envisions and develops new care delivery models when necessary. Utilizes research findings for the establishment of standards, practices and patient care models in the service.Determines patient care quality improvement goals and objectives utilizing comparison data benchmarks. Exercises discretion and judgement when taking action to correct identified areas of potential risk and liability.Analyzes financial statements and manages financial resources effectively.Educates team members on financial implications of patient care decisions. Measures and analyzes performance from learning, growth, business, process, customer and financial perspectives.Interprets, evaluates, and implements action plans based on feedback from both employee and patient satisfaction surveys.Participates in the evaluation of information systems in the practice setting.Creates an environment in which professional and personal growth is an expectation.Integrates high ethical standards and core values into everyday work activities.Advocates for the use of documented best practices.Role models perspective that patient care is the core of Capital Health's work. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Master's of Science in Nursing Degree or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Degree with relevant Master's Degree.Experience: Ten years of nursing experience including three years of formal leadership experience over clinical department(s).Other Credentials: Registered Nurse - NJKnowledge and Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possesses competency in healthcare operations. Knowledge of regulatory bodies, NJDOH, CMS, NHSN, and ANCC Magnet Recognition Program. Ability to learn and navigate various internal and external systems applications and databases.Special Training: Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in defining problems, data collection, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Must have excellent project management skills. Ability to interpret extensive amount of technical instructions, mathematical displays of statistical valuesMental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Ability to simultaneously and effectively manage multiple projects of high importance to Capital Health and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
