As our Director of Medical Staff Services, you will lead Medical Staff Coordinators and ensure the hospital meets all regulatory and hospital requirements related to credentialing and privileging of Medical Staff. Strong knowledge in Joint Commission and other regulatory standards help us properly govern the Medical Staff. You will provide accurate and timely updates related to Medical Staff membership to our Executive Leadership Team. Meetings:  Medical Executive Committee; General Medical Staff; Bylaws Committee; Physician Well Being; Joint Conference; Nominating Committee; Department QRCs; and other Medical Staff Meetings.

Responsibilities

Assist in Licensing, Regulatory and Accreditation compliance.  Attends Department Directors Meetings; Department Budget; Department/Staff Job Descriptions and Evaluations; Department policies and procedures; Preparation of Board Report from Medical Executive Committee; Assist Medical Staff Leaders in updating Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations; Management of Medical Staff Fund (deposits, bills, monthly financial reconciliation, and quarterly report to MEC); Annual Medical Staff Income Tax; Medical Staff Fines and Suspensions; Oversee Credentialing process and Proctoring/tracking.  For area of meeting responsibility; Agenda and Minutes Preparation, and follow up letters; Assists Medical Staff Leaders with peer review process; Add Hoc Committees, Compliance Letters; Ensures Credentialing files are always current. Plan and coordinates Medical Staff Leadership Retreat and Annual Medical Staff Holiday Party. Medical Staff Election of Medical Staff Officers and Department/Committee Chairs.

Qualifications

Bachelor Science preferred.  Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) achieved within one (1) year of employment.  Knowledge and familiarity of The Joint Commission Standards, CMS, and other regulatory agencies pertaining to Medical Staff operations, and credentialing requirements.  Three (3) years supervisory experience in medical staff services.
