Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accredited university is required. MBA degree is a plus. 

Experience and Background:

Minimum 10 years of experience in Aerospace fasteners sales.  Minimum 5 years of management level experience Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities to proactively lead a team of managerial and professional people and to interact effectively with individuals and groups both internal and external to the company and at all organizational levels.  Skills Analytically oriented and able to effectively problem solve and deliver on objectives.  Display innovative thinking and creativity.  Flexible and able to work with all levels of the organization.  Ability to multi-task. Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently.

Work Environment:

It is preferred that the candidates reside in Torrance. CA, however, we will consider remote candidates. Periodic visits to manufacturing sites is expected.

Essential Functions: 

The Director is responsible for setting and executing the short-term and long-term commercial strategy for Aerospace Fastener customers.  The role is responsible for understanding, mapping and developing strategic plans for sales and margin, and to coordinate the strategy within HFS, our customers and the industry. The position is part of the steering committee of the HFS Commercial team, participating to the global internal commercial strategy development. He/she will support development of the global HFS commercial strategic plan, growth initiatives, the interface between Sales/Marketing, customer representatives and management, and will resolve issues related to orders, delivery, product applications, and other commercial and technical issues.

Specific Responsibilities Include: 

Direct commercial team (CSR and Account Management) in the identification, development & sustainability of customer accounts in line with the business strategy, ensuring strategies for such customers optimize HFS’ business and minimize conflicts and internal competition. Support, development, and execution of commercial strategy for HFS, in coordination with other commercial staff members and various resources within HFS and product marketing. Establish challenging objectives to meet HFS growth strategy and target new business within both existing & developing markets, ensuring priorities are appropriately defined, with effective action plans. Work closely with Procurement team and participate to the establishment of any Inventory investment initiative linked to the development of sales activity. Facilitate inventory exchanges inside the HFS Aerospace distribution branch. Participate to the globalization of procurement and investments activities.  Liaise with various HFS locations globally to insure a high level of customer satisfaction. Facilitate the resolution of customer issues, including quality and on-time delivery performance Review and manage contract requirements to ensure they are within limits of established policies and procedures, including commercial and intellectual property (patent, trademark, licensing) requirements. Prepare and deliver customer presentations as needed.  Coordinate commercial, technical and market details for product and marketing literature and trade show displays and communications, as needed.  Coordinate changes in equipment, processes, materials, or services to support growth, cost reduction and/or process improvements. Conduct people management responsibilities, including hiring, job assignments, performance reviews, and other people management requirements in a timely and professional manner.  Identify key skills of team members to enable them to perform effectively and efficiently, in line with business needs and strategies, and develop the team’s skill base and knowledge. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and environmental health and safety rules. Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and environment. Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions.      Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor.
