Responsibilities

Position Summary: 

As our Director of Nursing NICU you will oversee Marian’s 21-bed Community (Level III) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and lead your team to drive the overall quality of care provided by neonatal ICU services personnel. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care. At the same time, you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to senior leadership.

We are looking for an experienced manager or director, with a track record of success in mid to large sized hospitals, overseeing NICU services. To thrive in this role, you must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. You will tackle tough conversations, and above all, be an educator at heart. Every interaction is an opportunity to share your knowledge with others and improve their understanding of a patient’s needs, the needs of the staff, and the needs of the organization.  


Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and two (2) years of leadership experience required.Required Licensure: Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
