Director -OB/ Women's Health/ Labor & Delivery

*$30,000 Sign on Bonus and Relocation Assistance available for qualifying candidate*

Evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. 

Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives . 

Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer


Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days from hire.
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required within six months from hire.
ACLS and PALS required within 90 days from hire.
Handle with Care required within 12 months from hire.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA, or Compact licensure which includes the Commonwealth of VA, and in good standing with the Board.

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of two years' experience as a charge nurse with demonstrated administrative and supervisory competency. Five years as a staff RN in OB specialty area.
