Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include: + Oversee the daily operations of the offices of Academic Advisement, Tutorial Services, and Career & Transfer Services. + Keep current on philosophy and trends in academic advisement, tutoring, and career services/development and incorporate this knowledge into relevant programs and student services. + Provide training for new and existing advisors including the use of BroncoWeb, Starfish Success, Degree Works, Online Delhi/Brightspace, and other online and print resources. + Serve as the Student Success Management System Coordinator for the campus. Regular reports shall be disseminated to the campus and annual reports will be provided to the Provost and Academic Council. + Represent Academic Affairs on the campus-wide CARES team and Academic Council. + Receive, assess, and carry out actions related to academic integrity violations. + Establish and coordinate an evaluation process for academic advisors and advisement procedures within each of the academic schools in collaboration with the deans and program directors. + Facilitate an advisor recognition program in collaboration with the Provost's Office. + Oversee content of the academic advisement component of Accepted Student Days, Bronco Ready Orientation Days, Open House, and Welcome Weekend. Manage the Scholastic Standing process in conjunction with the provost. + Work closely with the Assessment Committee and members of the Resnick Academic Achievement Center with assessing the effectiveness of the services offered by the center. + Assist the Student Support Council with ongoing effectiveness programs and retention efforts. + Maintain an advising load and work directly with students to accomplish educational goals. + Assist students with questions regarding programmatic requirements, registration, course withdrawal, transfer, and other pertinent questions. + Oversee the development of first-year student schedules in conjunction with Provost, Deans, and Program Directors. + Recruit, train and provide leadership for professional staff, clerical support staff and student employees. + Conduct evaluations of performance and develop performance annually or as specified by employee contracts. + Facilitate the development of the annual budget/resource allocation request for the functional area. + Manage budgets in accordance with state and campus-wide policies, guidelines, and regulations. + Work with the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs to seek funding for programs that support and advance the mission of the Academic Achievement Center. Collaborate with the relevant offices to promote student success with the data driven decisions. + Support Middle States and programmatic accreditation and participate in campus-wide accreditation site visits as necessary. + Participate in college-wide retention efforts. + Assist with regular updates to the college catalog. + Oversee the updating of the web pages relating to Academic Advising, Tutorial Services, and Career and Transfer Services. University Service: + Serve on relevant college-wide committees that support the mission of the Office of Academic Advisement. + Represent the Resnick Academic Achievement Center at various campus and community activities as possible.
