We are seeking a results-driven leader to oversee accounting and compliance within our organization. This role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while fostering a high-performing team. The successful candidate will collaborate with executive leadership, manage audits, streamline processes, and maintain compliance with all applicable laws and internal controls. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial acumen are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, develop, and mentor accounting and compliance staff. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. Oversee regulatory compliance, audits, and anti-money laundering measures. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls. Collaborate with Tribal accounting and executive leadership. Drive process improvements and department initiatives. Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.

This position requires exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills to manage critical financial and operational functions effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

REQUIRED

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA or equivalent professional accreditation Ten years of experience in accounting and auditing Five years of supervisory experience

PREFERRED

MBA Gaming experience Experience working with tribal entities

Additional education/experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a Class IIIA license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
