Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Director of Accounting in Austin, Texas. In this role, you'll be a key player in managing all aspects of our general ledger activities and ensuring our financial systems are efficient and compliant with internal and external policies and procedures. Responsibilities: • Leading the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements to guarantee their accuracy and completeness. • Overseeing the development, implementation, and adherence to internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. • Supervising, guiding, and fostering the development of the accounting staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the department. • Collaborating with external auditors and managing audit and review processes. • Assisting in managing and supporting the budgeting and forecasting activities. • Evaluating and managing financial systems, proposing enhancements where necessary. • Analyzing financial details of past, present, and expected operations to pinpoint potential opportunities and areas requiring improvement. • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards. • Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. • Maintaining accurate customer credit records.
