Director of Accounting
Description We are searching for a Director of Accounting to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. Consumer packaged goods industry is highly preferred. As a key member of our team, you will manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. You will also be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. This role is hybrid, with 3 in office and 2 days work from home. Responsibilities • Supervise all accounting operations, such as billing processes, accounts receivable and payable, and inventory accounting. • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries. • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and provide insights to senior management to aid strategic decision-making. • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. • Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. • Use accounting software and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency. • Oversee 1099 reporting and compliance oversight and submission. • Coordinate with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit. • Lead all tax submissions to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local agencies. • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in managing all Accounting Functions • Solid experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proven ability to conduct thorough Auditing • Familiarity with Budget Processes and ability to streamline them • Expertise in using NetSuite for accounting tasks • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
