As the Director of Accounting, you will serve as a key financial leader, responsible for areas including: + Strategic Oversight: Lead and manage all accounting operations to ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and government contracting standards. + Process and System Optimization: Build and refine scalable processes, improve internal controls, and ensure overall operational efficiency. + Compliance and Regulations: Oversee adherence to federal contracting regulations, including FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance, ensuring audit readiness and operational accuracy. + Financial Leadership: Collaborate with executive leadership to enhance forecasting, budgeting, and financial strategy for long-term success. + Team Development: Take the lead in developing a high-performing accounting team and create opportunities to expand and mentor staff as the company grows. Requirements To excel in this role, you are: + A Seasoned Professional: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership roles in high-growth companies or government contracting. + Technically Skilled: In-depth knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance. Hands-on expertise with Deltek, Costpoint, Unanet, or a similar financial platform is strongly preferred. + Educated in the Field: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA or equivalent credential is highly preferred. + Operationally Focused: Proven success in optimizing accounting structures, implementing processes, and ensuring financial operational success in compliance-heavy environments. + Collaborative Leader: A forward-thinking individual who thrives in fast-paced settings and is excited to work in a highly collaborative environment. + Clearance: You must be able to get your secret clearance and preference will be given to candidates who already have an active clearance + Audit experience: Public Accounting preferred not required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
