Director of Admissions

Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year 

Full-time

Nassau County, NY

 

As the Director of Admissions your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing a strong client and referral flow, lead the admission process, marketing for the facility. Being a key component, in the coordination with the marketing program, you will provide client, referral, and family satisfaction. You will also maintain a positive public image and meet census goals.

Duties Include:

Assess inquiries and respond to referrers as a priority Work with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate client flow Ensure an immediate response to phone, fax and walk- inquiries and referrals Coordinates tour, application, and sales process with customer, families and referrers Meet with client and families on day of admission. Facilitate an initial introduction to the nursing staff on the unit Communicate admission criteria to referral sources, clients and families Work with administrator and appropriate staff to ensure consistent, effective admission, discharge, and transfer meetings Maintain statistics indicating potential client flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials, hospital discharges, and marketing information Work to initiate, nurture, and maintain contact with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners Coordinate and participate in presentations about the facility to hospitals and physicians

Requirements/Qualifications:

Ability to make great independent decisions Strong leadership and supervisory skills Computer savvy - proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
