A Typical Day for a Director of Assisted Living with Heritage House:
Oversee the daily operations of assisted living, ensuring residents receive high-quality care and support. Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote resident safety, well-being, and satisfaction. Manage and coordinate the activities and services provided to residents, including personal care, meals, and recreational programs. Supervise and support assisted living staff, completing payroll, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to create personalized care plans and ensure residents' individual needs are met. Monitor resident health and wellness, coordinating with healthcare providers to address medical needs promptly. Communicate regularly with residents, families, and staff to foster a supportive and inclusive community environment. Work as an RN in assisted living when neededQualifications:
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all applicable state and federal regulations, quality assurance, compliance, clinical and social modeling. Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
Three to five years of previous nursing leadership experience preferred
Demonstrate the ability to actively advocate and model resident-directed care within the assisted living environment. Must demonstrate a passion to act as a champion for change within the industry, the ability to lead others through change and the ability to make decisions that lead toward new approaches and ways of thinking.
