Masters Job Summary: This position involves overseeing the College's intercollegiate athletic program and shaping its strategy to foster athletic excellence and mission alignment. The position is integral to supporting the College's overall strategic vision, ensuring that Athletics not only thrives but also upholds the values of the college central to the College’s mission. The leader in this role will ensure that athletic initiatives reflect and support the Collge’s broader goals, fostering a culture that is both competitive and faith-driven.
Education and Experience:
Must possess a graduate degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience in NCAA Division I, II, or III athletics is required. Experience overseeing and managing financial operations with a strong focus on effectiveness, efficiency, and fiscal integrity. Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and allocate a budget of over $2 million, ensuring compliance, transparency, and optimal use of college resources. Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement structured financial systems and processes that support organizational growth, strategic planning, and cultivating a Christ-centered culture. Experience in fostering an environment where biblical principles guide decision-making and operations is essential, ensuring that financial practices align with the College's mission and stated values (i.e. stewardship), and its commitment to building a flourishing community. Demonstrated experience fostering a culture of excellence in athletics, with a strong commitment to creating competitive teams and achieving success on the field. Proven ability to develop strategies that enhance athletic performance, recruit top talent and full rosters, and ensure a high standard of competitiveness that aligns with the College's values and mission.Required Skills/Abilities:

Communication flow up and down the organization chart the vision and direction of Athletic at LBC. Stewardship Manage one of the largest budgets at Lancaster Bible College responsibly and creatively, ensuring resources align with institutional priorities. Collaborate with the Executive Vice President (EVP) to align athletics with the President’s vision and engage in effective fundraising to sustain competitive programs. Oversee budget management, facility maintenance, and strategic partnership, ensuring efficiency and fiscal integrity. Collaboration with Business Office and other key departments throughout Lancaster Bible College. Culture Architect and Guardian As part of a thriving institutional culture set and nurture the athletic department’s culture, hiring mission-aligned coaches, and reinforcing Lancaster Bible College’s core values. Build a unified departmental culture resonating with athletes, staff, and supporters. Regulatory and Compliance Oversight Oversee NCAA, conference, and governmental compliance, ensuring accountability through accurate reporting. Management of Personnel Recruit and mentor coaches and staff, fostering professional growth and retention. Support athletic programs in achieving continuous improvement and fostering a Christ-centered culture. Provide support and guidance to coaches in achieving roster goals, ensuring effective recruitment strategies with collaboration with the Admissions department, and fostering an environment that promotes student-athlete retention through mentorship, development, and a commitment to their academic and athletic success. Advancement Leadership Lead fundraising efforts, engage alumni, and strengthen sponsorship relationships to support athletic initiatives. Healthy collaboration with the Advancement Department.Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervise the work of Athletics coaches and staff. Prepare and manage the annual budget for Athletics. Work collaboratively with Academics, Admissions, Student Experience, and other campus departments to align athletic initiatives with recruitment, student engagement, and retention efforts, ensuring a holistic and supportive experience for student-athletes. Periodically review, formulate, and recommend policies for the effective conduct of LBC’s intercollegiate athletics program. Manage the hiring process for new members of the Athletics Department. Prepare mandatory NCAA and NCCAA documents, including the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act Report, Sponsorship & Demographics, and the 5-year Institutional Self-Study. Supervise, approve, and participate in fund-raising activities in cooperation with the Advancement office on behalf of athletics. Mentor coaches (in collaboration with the Assistant AD of Mentorship) and provide opportunities for professional development. Establish Athletics Department meeting agendas. Participate in and represent Lancaster Bible College at local, regional, and national athletics meetings and conferences. Set clear expectations for student-athletes regarding academic performance, athletic conduct, spiritual growth, and personal and social development while fostering positive relationships that encourage their growth both on and off the field. Performs other related duties as assigned.Special Working Conditions:
