Position Summary:
The Automotive Support and Strategy Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing departmental operations to maximize production and drive business development and growth. Responsibilities include fostering customer retention, providing leadership and mentorship to teams, establishing and maintaining service level agreements, and staying abreast of industry standards and trends. This position entails regular interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal and external customers, technical personnel, the technical library team, and significant national accounts. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President (?), the Automotive Support & Strategy Director is instrumental in steering the department towards success.
Position Responsibilities- Other duties may be assigned:
• Maintain a keen understanding of the Automotive Repair Industry including repair trends, new technologies and the competitive landscape.
• Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritizes sustainable growth and positive customer relationships.
• Identification and proactive development of business opportunities in the Automotive OEM, worldwide with priority focus on ALLDATA business growth plans.
• Participate in the process of in-depth quantitative and qualitative market research, competitive analysis and the development and implementation of ALLDATA’s Go-to-market strategy.
• Establishment and expansion of the network within the focus industries, participation in specialist conferences and trade fairs.
• Project and process management from idea generation through concept, planning and coordination to successful completion.
• Serve as an ongoing strategy & operations partner for our cross-functional and global Customer team, our OEM content team and our Director of OEM relations.
• Gain deep knowledge about company operations and leverage data & OEM insights to drive informed decision making, stakeholder value and engagement.
• Manage the business in accordance with manufacturer requirements and processes. Drive the business through a high-level of involvement in the day-to-day operations.
• Create goals and objectives for the department, which include an annual operating budget, and a marketing plan to promote new business.
• Participate in business leadership meetings; develop and drive strategies and programs which improve the competitive position and profitability of the organization.
• Additional duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned by employee’s supervisor.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalence required.
• Minimum of 7 years of recent experience relevant in an Automotive Repair Industry.
• 5 years of experience in supervising others in a technical/Automotive Repair environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft suite (Excel) and solid understanding of analysis and reporting concepts and their application.
• Business fluent in written and spoken English, German or French is a nice to have.
• Strong problem solving, process improvement, and project management, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
Salary: $96,000 – 168,000
The salary range for this position is $96,000 – 168,000.
