Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a **Director of Behavioral Support Services** for our client in **Valley Cottage, NY** ! This role is a permanent hire opportunity. Please read below and reply with an updated resume for consideration: **Type:** Direct Hire **Schedule:** 8AM – 5PM Monday – Friday **Pay:** $90,000 - $100,000 annual salary **Position Summary:** In conjunction with agency leadership, sets the direction and structure of Behavioral Support Services for the agency. Develops and oversees systems, curriculum development and behavior management for the agency. Develops and oversees implementation of procedures, curriculum and competencies to promote a comprehensive and universal approach to promoting functional skill development across the person’s life in both the day habilitation and residential programs/settings. Oversees and designs the method, format, and administration of various assessment tools, including the use of Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) procedures to determine the individual’s current skill level, and create a curriculum to increase functional skills. Designs staff training curriculum to be used for staff training. Oversees the implementation of all scheduled ABA and SCIP trainings. Provides supervision, guidance, mentoring and development of subordinate staff. **Responsibilities of the Director of Behavioral Support Services:** + Provides clinical guidance oversight to Day Habilitation and Residential programs. + Provides direct supervision, guidance, mentoring and development to assigned staff. + Oversees the development and implementation of program curriculum and plans for people receiving support. + Develops and oversees systems, curriculum development and behavior management for the agency, across assigned Day Habilitation and Residential programs, as it relates to Behavior Supports. + Develops and oversees implementation of procedures, curriculum and competencies to promote a comprehensive and universal approach to promoting functional skill development across the person’s life in assigned day habilitation and residential programs. + Oversees and designs the method, format, and administration of various assessment tools, including the use of Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) procedures to determine the individual’s current skill level, and create a curriculum to increase functional skills. + Oversees and designs Behavior Support Plan format, across residential and day habilitation services/programs. Monitors and supervises the implementation of behavior support plans and method for documentation, data collection and compliance. + Plays a key role within the management team, working collaboratively with other team members to set and achieve organizational goals and objectives, as well as to complete interdisciplinary initiatives. + Assists with objectives for the department consistent with organizational goals and mission, communicates strategy for completion throughout the department and leads team toward reaching goals. + Ensures that program documentation is in compliance with all required regulations. + Provides strategic direction to and directs implementation of qualitative and innovative program initiatives within the department. Ensures initiatives are linked to goals, interests and overall safety of people receiving support. + Determines areas for program growth and formulates plans for service expansion leading to skill acquisition and involvement in the most integrated community settings. + Collaborates with managers and staff to translate departmental goals and objectives into actionable plans by providing clarity around roles and accountability, supporting coordination of work streams, and assisting in the delivery of processes that support program goals and mandates. + Assists in coordinating intake procedures, as it relates to behavioral support services; provides intake assessments as needed. + Evaluates the delivery of behavior support services; provides methods/suggestions to improve program quality and coordinates the implementation of those suggestions across assigned day habilitation and residential programs. + Oversees the implementation and training of staff on evidence-based teaching procedures. + Assists in formulating and recommending long range plans for services and programs to be offered. + Assists in planning and monitoring the department budget. + Obtain certification as a SCIP instructor. + Chairs Human Rights Committee. **Qualifications for the Director of Behavioral Support Services:** 1) Master’s degree from a program in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology as it relates to human development and clinical interventions, and documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development; **or** 2) National board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) or a NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA); **or** 3) A New York State license in mental health counseling Combined with 4) At least 3 years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans; **or** 5) providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans; **or** 6) Employed as a Level 2 BIS, at the master’s degree level, for three years. **IMPORTANT:** This **Director of Behavioral Support Services** job is being recruited for by Adecco’s Healthcare & Life Sciences division, not your local Adecco Branch Office.
