OVERVIEW: Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Director of Brand Management to join the Marketing Team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. The marketing team at Marc Jacobs sits at the intersection of fashion, culture, art, design, creativity and entertainment. RESPONSIBILITIES : The Director of Brand Marketing will be responsible for leading the strategy, development and execution of global integrated marketing campaigns that support the growth of the Marc Jacobs’ brand and business - including collaborations, seasonal campaigns, marketing partnerships and product launches. The right candidate can develop a brief, write a creative marketing plan, build an elegant PowerPoint presentation reflecting the plan, and execute it. They also have excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and manage marketing team members and cross-functional stakeholders. The Director of Brand Marketing reports to the VP of Brand.  Responsibilities include: Marketing Campaign Development and Execution + Drive seasonal marketing strategies tailored to support Marc Jacobs’ brand strategy and company/consumer priorities  + Plan and execute 360 seasonal marketing campaigns that promote the brand and its products, including brief, concept development, activation plans and campaign performance + Drive seasonal asset creation, including partnering with production to prepare for shoots  and driving alignment from team members on creative Key Product/Category Launches + Lead go-to-market process for key product/category launches, which will include defining category and or product positioning, unique selling proposition and consumer messaging + Lead development and execution of marketing plans to support launches, using trend, consumer data and intuition to create campaigns that stand out, deliver on business objectives and reflect the brand strategy + Oversee the development of creative assets to support launches and ensure they reflect the brand's identity and values Collaborations and Licensed Partners + Manage relationships with partner brands and key licensees, building and executing marketing strategies and plans QUALIFICATIONS: + 8-10 years of experience in marketing and brand management, delivering and executing integrated marketing plans; A passion for fashion a must, experience in fashion marketing a plus + A proven leader with an authoritative presence and clear communication skills capable of managing complex projects across cross-functional groups + Ability to navigate between high-level strategy and granular details with ease; this position requires someone who can build marketing strategies, briefs, and plans, and execute them flawlessly, demonstrating strong leadership, detail orientation and project management skills. + Demonstrated ability to develop a strong global brand and marketing vision for highly visible brands. + Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile culture—someone who embraces and leads through change and ambiguity + Creative and innovative thinker with proven ability to develop big ideas that cut through in the consumer marketplace; possesses strong cultural acumen and insight into the latest trends in the marketplace, consumer communities and streetwear + Experience in selecting, partnering with, and managing outside agencies to enhance brand strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with company goals and driving creative excellence + Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization + Excellent PowerPoint-deck building skills SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER:  The compensation for this position ranges from $ 140,000 – $150,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
