JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Business Analytics oversees and conducts the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions. He works directly with stakeholders and the business’s top management and executives within the assigned departments to identify and develop reports and metrics to drive business outcomes. Using the business intelligence solutions and source applications, the position designs, documents, implements and supports solutions to meet the established business requirements and specifications in order to deliver the highest possible value to the business. This position is responsible for supporting the mission, vision and values of Upstream Rehabilitation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics or other related degree.5 years in a data analyst position.Experience working in financial report creation, modeling, and forecasting.Strong background in SQL as well as experience performing administrative tasks on servers such as SQL.Exceptional computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft BI, Tableau or other business intelligence tool with data visualization functions.Ability to create visually and verbally engaging reports, for the various assigned stakeholders.Ability to manipulate large and complex data sets.Ability to navigate, extract, explore, qualify and analyze diverse internal and external data.Ability to steward data and processes for standardization of best practices, adoption and acceptance on an ongoing basis.A knack for inquisitive problem solving.Appreciation and adoption of interdepartmental coordination.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various business partners to provide a holistic view of the analysis.Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to manage, protect, and maintain confidential information.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop clear and well-structured analytical plans and analyze large data-sets.Responsible for shaping, building, maintaining business’s data infrastructure, inclusive of data-warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms.Identify, communicate, and endeavor to resolve data gaps that impact the fulfillment of the business’s functional requirements.Identify, evaluate, and document potential data sources in support of project requirements within the assigned departments in the business.Build statistical models, diagnose, validate, and improve the performance of these models over time in addition to creating efficient and reusable solutions.Operationalize processes generating reports and information that ensures timely, accurate and relevant data to stakeholders.Other duties as assigned
