Responsibilities:
Business Growth: Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the truck transportation industry, specifically in non-asset-based trucking.Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies, including market research, competitor analysis, and sales forecasting, to drive revenue growth through hunting new business.Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations, close high-value deals, and manage the full sales cycle, ensuring alignment with company goals and profitability targets.Market Expansion: Explore new market segments and geographies to expand the company’s footprint and increase market share.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular sales reports, including pipeline management, performance metrics, and market insights to inform senior management.Brand Promotion: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation.Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in logistics sales or business development, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets as a freight broker.Client Relationships: Existing and established book of business that can be transferred across to the new company.Language Proficiency: Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the logistics and supply chain market, including trends, challenges, and key players in the industry.Sales Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing sales strategies through a strong hunter background, closing deals, and managing client relationships within the logistics sector.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in using data to drive business decisions and strategies.Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.Self-Motivated: Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business growth and achieving success.Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
