In this high profile role, you will initiate sales opportunities with targeted enterprise level clients to develop new business relationships. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships while identifying, pursuing and closing sales for TransPerfect’s entire suite of services.  The individual should have experience in consultative sales with an emphasis on sales or consulting directly to industry firms and corporations.

Description:   

Source and close new clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other means (tradeshows, regional organizations, etc.)Build a productive pipeline and manage each phase of the sales processCultivate and maintain long term relationships with clients by delivering elite client service and engaging them by using knowledge of each industry and organizationFormulate sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targetsGenerate daily outreach efforts (direct mail, digital marketing, cold calls) to prospective clients

Develop an effective understanding of the capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages of TransPerfect's services

Present TransPerfect's solutions via one-on-one, group, online and in-person meetings.

Set and manage client expectations while consulting with each client for best practicesManage and control pricing and contractual issuesTravel (including multiple annual conferences, client meetings) - domestic and/or international

Required Skills:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university

At least 3-7 years of sales experience

Proven track record in hunting new business and supporting an existing client base

Sales life cycle experience—from lead generation through business closing

Ability to manage and develop a team

Proven track record in achieving sales targets

Ability to travel for qualified business opportunities and trade shows
