With a focus on expanding market share and strengthening strategic relationships, this role will give you the opportunity to make a significant impact and lead growth in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
**What You’ll Do** :
+ **Client Relationship Management** : Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key players in the defense sector, including the Department of Defense (DoD) and government primes, leveraging your existing Rolodex.
+ **Pipeline Development** : Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and developing a high-confidence pipeline that consistently meets sales targets.
+ **Sales Proposals** : Craft and present compelling, tailored sales proposals to showcase our client’s innovative products and solutions.
+ **Contract Expertise** : Utilize your in-depth experience in contract creation, negotiation, and management to close deals, including OEM supply agreements.
+ **Quota Achievement** : Drive performance against sales quotas, consistently achieving year-over-year growth while maintaining high standards.
+ **Cross-functional Collaboration** : Work hand-in-hand with internal teams – from strategy and engineering to operations – ensuring that all client needs are met and products delivered successfully.
+ **Data-Driven Reporting** : Utilize CRM tools like Salesforce to track progress, forecast sales, and provide key insights to senior management.
**Who You Are** :
+ **Experienced Sales Leader** : Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in the defense industry, and a proven track record of quota achievement and year-over-year growth.
+ **Industry Expert** : A strong understanding of the defense and aerospace sectors, including market dynamics, customer needs, and the regulatory landscape.
+ **Client Rolodex** : You bring a deep network of relationships within the defense industry, including DoD and government primes, and can leverage those connections to drive sales.
+ **Action-Driven** : Organized, analytical, and results-oriented with a relentless drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
+ **Top Performer** : A history of sales excellence, with recognition such as membership in the Presidents Club or similar accolades for outstanding sales performance.
+ **Travel-Ready** : Willing and able to travel frequently to meet with clients and prospects.
**Qualifications** :
+ **Education** : Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
+ **Experience** : At least 10 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in the defense and aerospace industries.
+ **Tech Savvy** : Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) to manage sales activities and data-driven decision-making.
+ **Compensation** : Competitive base salary ($150K-$175K) plus commissions, total compensation up to $400K+, with health, dental, life insurance, and a 4% 401(k) match.
